You should use me for an add!  I am a 64 year old woman with 50 acres to maintain, by myself, and this thing cuts through almost anything like butter.  The 3 tooth blade is what I mainly use and I only use "true fuel". (no gas station crud for my baby)  I am clearing fence lines and ditches with 5 years of overgrowth of briars and small trees and grass in 100+ weather.  I have two 4 cycle RIOBI's on the porch which have never performed worth a c**p or I would not be so far behind in my keeping things up. I wish I could upload a video for you.

Could not be more disappointed

I did my research and pretty much all the review came back glowing on the trimmer I purchased.  I had previously purchased an Echo 2 stroke and was happy with it except in all honesty I guess I didn't have the right mix and fried the motor.  I also really felt a better/strong motor would help.  Not wanting to suffer the same consequences, I wanted to buy a "lifetime" tool and I went for the 4 cycle Honda.  For what I paid and with all the positive notes on motor strength, etc., the way you have to spool and insert new line is a total disappointment.  Echo has a really easy and fast way to load line.  I have 2+ acres that I have to cut down weeds for and its jamming up the line feeder... and because of the idiotic way you have load the line its become a shit-show.  If it were not for all the hassle of loading a line and paying so much for what I thought was the best, I would rate it higher.  Top dollar for engineering includes the line spool mechanism.  If they would just put a Echo like line feeder on, this thing would be amazing.....

Spring of 2017' I bought a small tiller that has a GX 35 Honda engine on it. The performance of that little engine was quite impressive. So much so when it came time to replace my trimmer I bought Honda's model HHT355SUKA trimmer/brush-cutter. The ease of assembly was very simple. Manual instructions ,and photos were self explanatory. Being familiar with the GX35 gave me an advantage on operation. The harness fits down over your head to the shoulders. Buckles in the front. I had to adjust mine all the way out to get around me. The snap clip to the trimmer tension was hard to squeeze to open. So it now sports an EZ open/close caribiner on it for hooking to the trimmer. Start up ,and test run went very well. I did drain out the residual oil left in the GX35 engine adding 10W30 synthetic oil. Also I recommend finding a gas station your area that sells the 100% gas with zero ethanol. I'm using 87 octane 100% gas in my GX35's. Be sure to drain all the gas and run all fuel out of the carburetor every use. You'll be glad that you did. Honda gets my business!! A+ 110% on this product.

Much nicer to use with the handlebar, than the loop handle - it is easier to carry and operate.  Bulb primer for fuel is great, wish bulb was installed on the generator(s), such as the 2000W.

Came with the saw blade installed, unfortunately the dolt who assembled it had it backwards which was very obvious at first cutting attempt.

Starts easy, pretty quiet, way less fumes than a 2-stroke, and vibration seems less.

The quick release on the shoulder strap is not the easiest thing to reattach.   How about just going with a nice old Fastex side-release buckle, or such?

Came with Kwik Loader head - I prefer it to the auto-advance models, so thats a plus.

And speaking of "dolts", I tried to use the choke in reverse of what it's labeled, and as such had a difficult time with the trimmers operation.  A friend called foul and re-educated me, so now all is bliss.

Very easy to start that is a positive.

Hopefully I will get this figured out was not a cheap product.

I'm running half throttle and idling thru things that I used to have to blast thru full throttle. No bog down, seems it has a lot of torque to rip thru just about anything. This unit was perfect for my needs and is the only large four stroke that I can find.  It always started easily and met my expectations for part of cleaning my 20 acres.   However after warranty runs out it self destructed and I have no recourse.  I took it back to the Honda certified dealer and they told me they wouldn't fix it because it cost more to fix than the $400 for a new one.  Honda absolutely would not help me out for a problem that definitely was not because of abuse but because of poor quality.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the response    I cannot afford to buy a $400 unit every 2 years for personal use.  I used to think highly of Honda products but am very skeptical because of how I was treated with this unit having a quality problem, and even more that they did not stand behind their product when it was easily seen as a flaw in manufacturing.  I have pictures of this problem if anyone wants proof.  I really hate not to ever buy another Honda product or suggest all I know not to either.

I purchased this trimmer last fall to cut grass and brush along my fence lines where the tractor couldn't get. This thing is a beast! Love the 4 stroke, the 10" blade, the large dia trimmer string. I thought changing the string. Was going to be a pain till I pre-cut a bunch and used a small needle nose ViceGrip to pull the old string out, and it was easy to insert the new pieces. I can see why it doesn't have a bump feed option, it just wouldn't work with the large diameter string. First time out I trimmed a 2' path 1/2 mile long on both sides of the fence and it did the job. Runs great! It's a Honda!

This thing runs great. Cranks up every time. The Honda 4 stroke allows you to put the engine in more positions than most 4 stroke engines. The manual feed head is a pain,  not sure why they don't just come with the bump head. Otherwise you have to stop every 5 minutes to advance the line. For the price it would be nice if it had a pole saw attachment option also. Overall one of the best.

I'm in the landscaping business and so trimmers are a pretty important aspect, if not overshadowed by the mowing equipment. I ran all types of 2-stroke trimmers in the past, until I bought my first Honda trimmer, the 25cc model, new in 2004. Well, I still have it today. It's been through a couple of trimmer heads and has needed new fuel lines...that's it. Runs great, change the oil and add gas. Starts effortlessly well. I was amazed at how quiet the trimmer idled, and how little fuel it used. It does not require full throttle most of time. It has a ton of hard use commercial hours on it. It does not look pretty anymore, and has sat on a trailer in the rain and sun for many seasons. Anyway, I needed a second trimmer with a split-shaft design to add basic attachments. Unfortunately Honda does not make a split shaft trimmer...but Husqvarna does, with the same exact 25cc Honda engine. I bought it and have put many hard hours on that trimmer as well. Finally, I recently bough the HHT35SUKAT 35cc Honda with the U-shape bars. It is heavy, and the engine a little more substantial, but this trimmer is exceptionally smooth and very powerful. I would recommend a Honda trimmer over all other trimmers to anyone.

This is my first 4-stroke trimmer and I wanted a good brand name product to test the waters with. It's a lil heavy but runs great cuts almost everything you would need to cut with a string trimmer, doesn't bog down, and with the blade cuts down small saplings with-out missing a beat. The only things so far that I'm not happy with are the fuel consumption, and the strap. Seems to me that it uses a lot of fuel. I'm okay with that because it's quieter, and less of a polluter than the 2-stroke and we are not talking about gallons here, just a little more. Then there is the strap. Total junk and uncomfortable as heck. I replaced it with an old guitar strap after only the third use. Since that upgrade.. It is a great tool. Saw some other reviews that said "hard to start or some fuel line problems", gave the bulb 4 pumps turned on the choke one or two pulls max so no problems with mine.

The quick loader cutting line head isn't worth a penny, just like most of the other reviews mentioned. Spent near the same amount of time reloading as I did cutting.

I haven't been able to lock the throttle trigger for the cold start, hopefully the Honda service repair guy will be able to fix that small problem under the warranty.

After adding oil and fuel the motor started on the second pull. Unfortunately it only ran for about 15 min. then kept shutting down or lost 80-90% of it's power. restarted immediately after the shut down. After careful examination I found the fuel line kinked behind the plastic retainer/below primer pump. pulled the line out of the retainer for less of a bend and it didn't shut down any longer but the power loss kept occurring, not quiet as often as before. After about 5-6 hrs of operation the power loss pretty much disappeared. Unfortunately it took me several hours of operation and refueling to notice that I might have tightened the fuel cap too much which could have contributed to the power loss. ( Now I barely keep it snug). Just run the engine for 10 hrs, changed the oil and it's time to get the High altitude adjustment done, as I believe I don't have the power that this motor could put out. (my 22 yr old Craftsman trimmer ( +- 25cc) delivered for the 1st 20 years the same power as this Honda 35cc does.

Purchased this trimmer exclusively for cutting and brushing shooting lanes on my hunting land.  It is exceptional and it is wonderful to use a machine that is not noisy or makes you smell like the two cycles do. I used the first trimmer for 30 minutes before it quit working.  Could not believe it. Took it back and exchanged for another new one.  The second one ran less than 20 minutes and just lost power and then slowly died.  I remembered this type of thing happening with a new Husqvarna chain saw about 20 years ago and recalled the problem being a spark arrestor screen in the muffler as being the culprit.  It was NOT the carburetor as they would like to make you think.  The manufacturers and dealers must equip small engines with spark arresters and they will not tell you that the screen plugs up with carbon because they cannot remove the screen NOR can they tell you to remove them!  Simply take the outside plate off of the muffler, remove the 1/2 inch long screen, replace the plate and start to enjoy a great machine.  The difference is night and day.  If you are in a high fire danger area leave the spark arrestor screen in and take it back to the store for a refund.  You will not need it because it will not work unless you clean the screen every 15 minutes.  Government regulations at their finest. Once I got the exhaust screen issue solved this Honda machine performed flawlessly.

Oh my goodness! What a machine! Im in eastern washington, fires everywhere,(July 2014) I'm on acreage that I've let get higher than waist in brush and just plain tall grass, some chest high. I looked at push behind weedeaters, but my terrain is just to rugged and uneven. So, I decided to go for the Honda 4 stroke. In 12 hours, split between 2 days, I've cleared an acre of land of brush and grass, bad brush and high grass. I have many acres, but the one around the house is where I've started. No kidding, I can cut the brush faster than the hired hands can clean it up behind me. The "horse collar" style harness is worth every penny. I'm 61 yrs old and I did 12 hours, 3 hours the day I bought it, and 9 today, my arms are sore only from helping clear the brush. Break it in right, an enjoy! I've cleared more brush with this in less than 48 hours then I did all last summer chipping away at things! No, I'm not a paid endorsement, I'm just very pumped to have finally bought something that does what I need! I never let the "store" break in my equipment, I take it home and do it myself, this is a one pull machine once broken in properly. It comes with a blade, basically a table saw blade, sort of, read the directions, it needs to be torqued to spec.

My wife got me this online after asking me which one I was looking at.  I was tired of mixing 2-cycle oil, and had a cheap 33cc Poulan on it's last legs.

This runs smoother than any other trimmer i've owned before, and, very easy to start.  I've never used a professional trimmer before, but had quite a few homeowner grade ones, which all had large issues after prolonged use (1 hour) or even short use after they got to be about a year old.

I did encounter an issue like another review mentioned about stalling, but quickly figured out that I should gently roll the unit after filling with gas, with the cap off, so the filler opening is at the top, to get the air out of the other side of the tank.  No more issues after that, I've been cutting thick (up to 1/4" thick) 4-5 foot grass for a 3-5 hours a week for a few weeks now, and no issues with the unit overheating (longest time so far is using it for about 4 hours, with breaks to reload line and sometimes gas), or bogging down at all.  although it's apparent I need to invest in a grass blade due to me getting tired of reloading the .095 line.

I brought the trimmer back to the place of purchase (where they also do the service work). They believe that it needs a new carburetor and have ordered one.
