The Back-Up: UPS Battery Units
Honda Portable Power Systems offer the choice of two different UPS battery units. These battery units provide enough power to open the garage door and power limited lighting to get your generator running.
You can program the UPS battery to deliver power to your TV or computer as well, giving you immediate access to news and information about the outage.
Honda offers two UPS battery models as part of the HP2S. The 780w model is standard on the EM5000SXK2A and EM6500SXK2A package, while the 865w unit is offered with the EU6500iSA package. Either model can power a garage door opener at least twice.
