Got this pump last week. Filled it up with Mobil 1 10W30 oil, then a gallon of TRUFUEL (in order to leave it filled up for several months without having to worry about the carburator) and it fired right up.

I dIdn't have any 1-1/2" hose, so I used a 1" suction hose (10' long) and a 1" discharge hose (150' long). Despite using the wrong diameter suction and discharge hoses the pump ran great!

We used it to pump seawater from the surf zone to a slip and slide on the beach for several kids.

They loved it and it ran all day on less than 1 gallon of fuel.

We used a 2" diesel driven pump to carve a pool out of the sand, but the 2" pump is far too powerful for the slip and slide.

Pump was plenty powerful and gave us about twice the amount of water that I would normally get from our hose at the house (with a 1" main).  Really impressed.
