Choose between using both 120 and 240 Volts, or 120 Volts only. This allows for the total generator output to be available through any of the 120 volt outlets, limited only by the capacity of the individual outlet. This enables you to power units with larger wattage requirements.

I've had this generator for 17 years. Have used it for the race track and as a back up power source during the hurricanes over the years.

Just went through Irma. pulled it out after it sitting for a year. Battery was dead but thats what happens when you let it sit. One slow pull to get it on the compression stroke and then a good tug and its been running for 40 hours straight. I would never even consider another type of generator. This thing has NEVER let me down. I think I put a spark plug in it when it was 10 years old and change the oil when I think about it.

Can't imagine going through a storm without it. Thank you Honda for making a very dependable product.

The linkage and the positioning of the one nut holding the air filter in place is not well thought through.  The screws at the bottom of the carburetor bowl require a stubby to release, otherwise one must take everything apart to undo those screws.  Wow

Use these in Antarctica. Bomb proof.

We use two EB6500X  generators in Antarctica to power motors to reel heavy fuel hose.  They are bomb proof, easy to start and supremely reliable.  Never fail to start, even in zero degree weather.  Couldn't do the job without them.

Reliable well made generator

I bought this generator to provide backup 220vac power for my home in case of a power outage and remote 120vac power on our farm. A severe winter storm left us without power for 7 days. By cutting back to only essential circuits the generator will run 11 hours on one tank of fuel. It starts on the first or second pull. It's easy to start, runs reliably and I couldn't be happier with it.

If I was to improve it I would ask for a digital meter that would tell me how many watts I was drawing.
