Advanced DAVR technology for consistent power and performance

The EG6500 uses Honda's exclusive DAVR (Digital Automatic Voltage Regulator). The DAVR is designed to hold the voltage stability within a +/- 1% range during operation. This provides more consistent power.

Choose between using both 120 and 240 Volts, or 120 Volts only. This allows for the total generator output to be available through any of the 120 volt outlets, limited only by the capacity of the individual outlet. This enables you to power units with larger wattage requirements.

Ok but it takes effort to pull start

no electric start available.  Not easy to pull start but fires easily and runs well.  Used during power outages to power most of house.  Only downside is lack of electric start.  For this price it should have it, or at least be available to add.

EG6500CL Wont run Lennox Furnace.

We bought a new EG6500CL for a big power outage. After taking the Generator back to the store for check up, they said the generator checked out fine. But it will run everything else, except the furnace. The Furnace is not a new High Efficiency, only 80%. The Error lights on the Furnace say either Ground Issue or Phase error. We tried at first with extension cords, then did a full panel connection. We have done everything we can to make it work, check all ground connections and verified phase, but we are SOL. Also use my friends Generac portable, it worked perfectly. Just moved the plug from the Honda to the Generac.  Wish I bought a Generac, Thanks Honda.

Starts easy, could be a little quitter but is ok. A little heavy to move by yourself. e.g. in/out of pickup truck.
