Advanced inverter technology - reliable power for computers and other sensitive equipment
Honda's inverter technology means stable, clean power in a smaller, lighter package. The precision of Honda's inverter technology ensures our inverter generators produce power that is as reliable as the power you get from your outlets at home.

When my wife and I decided to switch from tents to travel trailer, we reasoned that, if we were going to go "RV", then let's make sure we make it completely worthwhile. A big part of that was off-grid reliability. All of the "bells and whistles" of an RV mean nothing if you can't use them! I knew that microwave and air conditioning would be "the bar to be met". Now, we don't require both of those at once, and knew that we could just put our big 4000-watt genny on the bed of my truck, to provide all the power we'd need......but, our respect for what's left of "wilderness", and for those camped around us, meant that we didn't want to be the LOUD campers! We also couldn't be certain that we would always use my truck to haul our light-weight travel trailer.
I've owned more Honda products than I can remember.....but, my first Honda lawn mower provided all the experience that I needed. The value of starting every time was probably enough for me, but the quiet operation of this generator is the icing on the cake!
In the end -
Pro's - Easy Start, Dependable, Quiet
Con's - Can't buy it for $500
Final Impression - Can't buy better in this class!
Superb little and quiet inverter generator. I love this machine!!!

Have worked flawlessly from day one. Easy to start ,operate and maintain. Is super, SUPER quiet! Have been used under extreme, continuous use, because of hurricane Maria (we live in Puerto Rico). I registered over 800 hours in my maintenance log, and have perform extremely well. It runs 2 full size refrigerators / freezers, 7 tower fans, an 80" Vizio TV with its Home Theater and its DISH Hopper equipment, a 32" LCD Samsung with its DISH Hopper equipment, and in addition runs another small (I believe its a 17" LCD TV) TV and two fans of my neighbors, which I helped lending them and electric (extension) cable. Turns on all the lighting that I required to basically live as with regular electric service. This small generator never turned on the overload indicator, never seemed to be having any kind of trouble moving all these equipment. Of course, I never tried any air conditioning (all my a/c's are "inverters") equipment as I understand that it is a small equipment and it will be "a crime". I changed its oil every three days (72 hours) to avoid reaching the 100 hours maintenance schedule, but other than that, I didn't even think about it. Provides me with a good 20+ hours performance filling its 1.5 gallons tank twice, which is about $9.80 (total for the day, e.g. $4.90 + $4.90) here in Puerto Rico. I love this equipment!!! Thank you for making possible this great product Honda!

Honda continues to dominate in the power equipment space. Our Lawnmower is 1988 HR194...It still starts on the first pull (after almost 30 years!) When we needed a generator as protection against the unknowns of the TX Gulf Coast...the Honda was a no brainer!

Bought my EU3000i Handi 2014 in off season (=before Hurricane season) at the local Honda dealer, great attention from them here in Puerto Rico. Just to have as a back-up in my condo as Puerto Rico is infested with power outages for any reason. Have started it two times a year just to keep it going for 15 minutes or so but not really bothered to connect any item to it as the power outages where I live were fairly short, up to 3-4 hour some two - three times a week (for me still unknown reasons) and in the large power outage 2016 we actually had power.
Now after Hurricane Maria it was indeed needed and it works like a small miracle. It is so quiet that you really do not get bother and specially when using the power ECO throttle feature it is great as it allows the unit to use only the amount of Watt what is needed (equal that the noise reduces). The charging possibility of 12 V battery seems like a good feature, (had forgot about that and will order the cables now). What I miss is that it does not have USB charging plugs but that is a small thing.

Usually living on an island, you will experience many electric grid power outages due to weather.
An indispensable item is of course, an auxiliary source of power. The Honda 3000i HANDI fits that need very well.
It handles our refrigerator/freezer, our freezer, emergency lighting, computer, WIFI, and a couple fans easily and quietly.

This is the epitome of a perfect home generator. It is powerful enough to run a standard sized kitchen refrigerator, a chest freezer, some low-wattage lights AND a coffee pot, all running at the same time! Lightweight for carrying to campsites or for tailgating at football games. The low noise is also a blessing as you can carry on a normal (not YELLING) conversation with the generator only a few feet away. The handle folds down out of the way and the wheels are large enough to easily cross the root/rocks of a campground. Has enough power for at least two table saws, some box fans and lights at a construction site, without going into overload.
Starts with one pull.... yep one.
Very minor suggested changes: Lower the oil drain plug about a 1/2 inch (1.3cm)

I would have gave this a 5 star for overall had it had an electric start but it was very easy to pull start. It was very easy for my 67yr old wife and I to pick it up. I do wish the gas tank was a little bigger but that's the trade off you get with this model. Very pleased with this so far. I ran my other EU3000 for 17yrs with no problems. Just needed something a little bit lighter for the wife and I. If it runs as long as my other EU3000 it will probably out live me.

I was at Bryce Canyon Utah last year , the day started out 65deg by 10pm it was 35 and by 5am it was 15deg & Snowing. I was woken up at 5am by several Rv alarms going off.
I reset the alarm's got dressed and went out to start Handi EU3000I. I uncovered it and the 2nd pull it came to life. Went back in the RV and made a cup coffee.
This is why I have a Honda HANDI 3000I.

I have a 5th wheel RV and bought this unit for dry camping and mainly for emergencies. First time I started it, it cranked up on the 2nd pull. It ran smooth and was very quiet. My RV has a 30 amp circuit. Using solely the generator, I ran the refrigerator, air-conditioning and lights. Unfortunately, when I added the micro-wave, it tripped on overload. I will either have to turn off the A/C when I want to use the micro-wave or buy another 3000 handy or perhaps go to 2 - 2000 units. Regardless I definitely recommend this unit based on the very limited experience I have with it.

Does not come with a power adapter - beware and don't use it for camping until you have checked out that all that is needed is there. Our two prior generators came with the adapter - why would we think this one would not - horrible night spent without power until we got to an ACE hardware the next day. For $6 in cost you'd think it would be included. What a joke.

Starting my 7th year of camping in Key West, FL. Have to rotate 2wks full hookup and 2-3 wks dry camping. My Handi 3000 has never let me down, Runs my 15000 BTU a/c without problems. Have to shut off a/c to run coffee pot or microwave but turn it back on afterwards, Even runs the wife's hairdryer and that does make it yell!! Still, at full load, quieter than all other gens. Once a year it goes to the dealer for routine service. Runs about 11 hours a day for up to 3 weeks. Couldn't ask for anything better. As I said before, it has never let me down. What more can you ask for.

What else can I say, we wanted a quiet generator for dry camping - this unit fits the bill. It ran the AC with no problem and was quiet enough to run all night. Other campers have different units, which are unbelievably noisy - we can hear them with our AC running, but we cannot hear our generator.

I love this machine, for the output size, it is light and is amazingly easy to start. Used it during a snow storm that knocked out the house power. It never gave us problems. I quickly modified the wiring on the house furnace to interface with the generator chord. (don't do this unless you know what you are doing.) The furnace kept the house warm for about 24 hours until the power company fixed the overhead wiring into the house from the power pole. We also used it to run the refridgerator and deep freeze and some lights. Great Machine. Also used it for my RV when an electrical campsite was not available.
